1st Chestnut: Arrival [Action/Voice]

Action/Voice

[People who happen to be making use of the Hot Springs might take note that there's a stranger in their midst. A short, bald man with six little dots on his forehead is laying down and sleeping on one of the deck-chairs near the edge of the tub. He's dressed, at least, but that doesn't change the fact that he's just there, dozing away with a journal for a pillow. Occasionally he lets out a little sigh of contentment, mumbling to himself in his sleep and seemingly oblivious to the world around him.

After a while, he does wake up though, and looks around, completely lost. In his flailing he notices the journal he's been laying on and grabs it up.]

Huh? What...? Well how the heck did I end up in a hot spring? And...what's with this thing? Oh man I hope that blinking light doesn't mean it's gonna explode or something. That'd be just my luck...

[There's the sound of random buttons being pressed and the picture flickers a few times before Krillin realizes that the blinking light means that it is, in fact, recording. He sounds immediately apologetic, and just starts speaking normally, if somewhat formally.]

Uh...sorry about that. My name's Krillin and ah-hehehe I don't know who's Capsulepad this is, but I found it and I wanna return it. The book model is really cool, I didn't even know they made them, but I'm not a thief. If you can hear this, then let me know where you are and I'll return it right away. Only, I guess it'd be great if you could give me some directions too.

[Later, after he's finally departed and begun to poke around his new surroundings, Krillin makes a beeline for town, whizzing along through the chilly air and cursing his luck. It's cold, and his clothes are freaking gone, and he of course missed the teleporter. Once he finds and swipes some clothes, he'll start poking his head around trying to find out where he can get some food and more information. So, expect him to turn up in the Item Shop, Bakery, and Welcome Center.]

[OOC: Please feel free to break time on the action portions of the thread! It's more fun that way.]

[Floating back down from the observation deck, he lands next to the console once more, leaning up against it with arms folded as he normally does. He is done, thankfully, and waits for Krillin to come out of the chamber.]

[When the monk finally manages to make his way back over, he speaks up.]

Well, you actually managed to survive. I'm impressed.
misterbrief: (Wallflowerin')

[personal profile] misterbrief 2014-02-20 08:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Precisely. How was it that you had to fight him without any power?
misterbrief: (you're lying)

[personal profile] misterbrief 2014-02-20 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I mean how tough it was in comparison to enemies you've faced with your abilities still intact. [Vegeta's question wasn't clear, but that also brings up a good point.]</small. But yes. That's what you're going to be fighting. It won't always be without the use of your energy- but it should be expected. So now you'll know what to train for.
misterbrief: (Where's Gohan? I know you're not him.)

[personal profile] misterbrief 2014-02-20 09:47 pm (UTC)(link)
That's not all they do. That one wasn't nearly as strong as some of the others you'll find. And they prefer to fight in groups. Imagine taking on four to five of them at once.

[That's going to suck, too. He's not even looking forward to that too much and he loves to fight.]

Telekinesis. Invisible weaponry. Just to name a few. And they'll have the advantage of flight over us if we're left powerless. [As for those other questions...]

I haven't had to fight them without the use of my power yet, but it's very possible they will show up here. They have before. [He points his index finger out at Krillin.] So don't get complacent like a lot of these other oafs here, got it?
misterbrief: (Put them in with the luggage.)

[personal profile] misterbrief 2014-02-20 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh. Don't make me answer that question. [Implied: Future stuff.]

Now, unless you've got something of worth to say, you can go. I've got matters to attend to and I've already wasted enough time educating you on what to expect outside of this silly false peace we seem to be having currently.
misterbrief: (I can't believe this idiot)

[personal profile] misterbrief 2014-02-20 10:05 pm (UTC)(link)
[But he wants to brush you off Krillin, because he's a jerk]

Ten, but New Feather season isn't over yet, so we may see a few more show up. [Because he doesn't know about 17 quite yet.]
misterbrief: (Oh really now?)

[personal profile] misterbrief 2014-02-20 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, for starters, Kakarot is here, which I'm sure you've already heard about. My entire family, the...five of us, that is. [That is weird to say.]

Android 18 is here as well, along with Kakarot's boy Goten and his granddaughter Pan. That's all as far as I know. No one that we'd have to worry about has shown up, and even if they did. I'd eliminate them with no problems.
misterbrief: (Perhaps)

Judging by that bald head of yours, I'd say about twenty years.

[Yeah he's really, really old. But that just means he's a lot stronger, right?]
misterbrief: (This guy is really annoying)

[personal profile] misterbrief 2014-02-21 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
Most of the residents here are do-gooders just like yourself. I found very few who aren't to be trusted. It's enough to make me sick.

[It's too much friendly and he's afraid it's rubbing off on him.]

Pay close attention to your journal, you'll see. You can't miss all of them.
misterbrief: (Perhaps)

[personal profile] misterbrief 2014-02-21 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. [He's not telling Krillin who, though. They have dirt on him.]

And I've been here a little over a year. Some have been here much, much longer than I however. I believe a few have been here at least six, maybe seven years. I'm not sure.
misterbrief: (heh. this isn't the end now is it)

[personal profile] misterbrief 2014-02-22 12:12 am (UTC)(link)
For us? Mere minutes. Fly in any direction and you'll find it. It's impossible to miss. Just don't fly into it. And if you do, please, make sure I'm there to witness it.
