1st Chestnut: Arrival [Action/Voice]

Action/Voice

[People who happen to be making use of the Hot Springs might take note that there's a stranger in their midst. A short, bald man with six little dots on his forehead is laying down and sleeping on one of the deck-chairs near the edge of the tub. He's dressed, at least, but that doesn't change the fact that he's just there, dozing away with a journal for a pillow. Occasionally he lets out a little sigh of contentment, mumbling to himself in his sleep and seemingly oblivious to the world around him.

After a while, he does wake up though, and looks around, completely lost. In his flailing he notices the journal he's been laying on and grabs it up.]

Huh? What...? Well how the heck did I end up in a hot spring? And...what's with this thing? Oh man I hope that blinking light doesn't mean it's gonna explode or something. That'd be just my luck...

[There's the sound of random buttons being pressed and the picture flickers a few times before Krillin realizes that the blinking light means that it is, in fact, recording. He sounds immediately apologetic, and just starts speaking normally, if somewhat formally.]

Uh...sorry about that. My name's Krillin and ah-hehehe I don't know who's Capsulepad this is, but I found it and I wanna return it. The book model is really cool, I didn't even know they made them, but I'm not a thief. If you can hear this, then let me know where you are and I'll return it right away. Only, I guess it'd be great if you could give me some directions too.

[Later, after he's finally departed and begun to poke around his new surroundings, Krillin makes a beeline for town, whizzing along through the chilly air and cursing his luck. It's cold, and his clothes are freaking gone, and he of course missed the teleporter. Once he finds and swipes some clothes, he'll start poking his head around trying to find out where he can get some food and more information. So, expect him to turn up in the Item Shop, Bakery, and Welcome Center.]

[OOC: Please feel free to break time on the action portions of the thread! It's more fun that way.]

Judging by that bald head of yours, I'd say about twenty years.

[Yeah he's really, really old. But that just means he's a lot stronger, right?]
misterbrief: (This guy is really annoying)

Most of the residents here are do-gooders just like yourself. I found very few who aren't to be trusted. It's enough to make me sick.

[It's too much friendly and he's afraid it's rubbing off on him.]

Pay close attention to your journal, you'll see. You can't miss all of them.

Yes. [He's not telling Krillin who, though. They have dirt on him.]

And I've been here a little over a year. Some have been here much, much longer than I however. I believe a few have been here at least six, maybe seven years. I'm not sure.
misterbrief: (heh. this isn't the end now is it)

For us? Mere minutes. Fly in any direction and you'll find it. It's impossible to miss. Just don't fly into it. And if you do, please, make sure I'm there to witness it.
misterbrief: (you're lying)

You think that I'd of already tried everything I could for as long as I've been here. [He glares at Krillin- he feels that should have gone without saying.]
misterbrief: (Look.)

[He doesn't bother to answer Krillin's first question, because he feels like that's a no-brainer as well- but the second question, that's a good one and so he turns to the center console and beckons Krillin over to view it.]

Multiple things. Simulations just like the one I put you into, making you fight with no sort of power whatsoever. You can program it to do almost anything you desire, whether it be creating weapons, enemies, or even scenes from home. I've used the tournament grounds a few times to fight against others. It made for an interesting battle. The only downside is the gravity can only go up to ten times that of Earth's, so I don't even bother.

Be as creative as you like, whatever gets the job done. Some of the functions can be confusing, but, anyone with half a brain should be able to figure it out well enough.
misterbrief: (silently angry)

I'd prefer you refrain from mentioning him ever again. And you are not to mention him to my children either. If I hear you did, you'll be nothing more than dust on the floor of this very structure, do you hear me? [Because the only time he wants to talk about that is when he wants to talk about it.]

But to answer your question, yes. Except the simulation will automatically shut down before you die a horrible death if you decide to recreate those that we've fought back at home.
misterbrief: (You're out of your mind.)

[He sneers, but fine, as long as Krillin gets it.]

We'll see about that, won't we.
