[Quite frankly, Vegeta wanted a nice change of scenery for the this mission. He'd been out in the jungle too many times, so he's recruited Krillin to help him with this one. Having not bothered quite yet to touch the filial magic himself, he may or may not have strong armed Krillin into coming to this since the little baldy had access to the magic. Then the real fun could begin.

This is why he'd bothered to pick up a sword. To take care of these things. And now, hopefully all of Saori's help will finally pay off.

However, his tracking skills are...lacking, meaning they might get ambushed if they're not careful. He's very used to blowing up things to find what he's looking for, so hopefully Krillin can cover his back on that one. Hopefully he can smell the dogs before they get to them, their distinct scent something hard to miss for a saiyan.

Leaving the harbor behind, the pair make their way through the dense forest, Vegeta angrily swatting low hanging branches to the side.]

Great, at this rate we'll never find any of them. And I just wanted to have a little fun. [He mutters the last sentence to himself.]

[He'd gone along with it because...well...he'd been strong armed. If he was honest with himself, this wasn't really a mission he wanted to be a part of, but then again...it was different than the patrol and training ones he'd done. And it did give him a chance to really focus on using that healing magic he'd tried out.

Krillin follows along at an easy, ambling pace, ducking under branches and just generally trying not to get in Vegeta's way. He was grumpy again...as usual...]

Well, you know...as soon as we find a spot, I can start doing that thing with Nala. Maybe a good clearing or something? Or a place we can lure them?

[He growls as he nearly trips on an exposed root from a nearby tree, hidden by foilage. Thankfully, his grumpiness isn't directed at Krillin, so he makes himself calm down a little. But only a little.]

I'm about to create a clearing for us to use soon. How absurd, sending us out into a forest like this. [He presses on, moving more branches out of the way. Maybe...it would be better if they just took to the treetops. Starting on the ground is honestly annoying him.]

Has...anything they've done up to this point been any less absurd?

[Honestly, Vegeta, Krillin shouldn't have to be the voice of reason here. But...he is, so whatever.]

And why don't we find ourselves a place they can't escape from first. Once we jump them, some might try and run. May as well make sure.

[He glares back at him, but he's got a point, so he keeps his mouth shut about that, at least.]

Fine, Mr. Know-It-All. What exactly did you have in mind out here in the middle of the forest? [Just being snide of course. They could make the terrain into anything they wanted to deal with the dogs and he knew it.]

[He points at a large, clear patch of ground.]

Well we could make a pit. Cover it with stuff, then lure them into it. Wouldn't be hard, since we can just float over the leaves and stuff to make it look like we're standing on it.

[Okay, he saw this in a movie once. But the actors used wires.]

Cover it with stuff, huh. [Such a Krillin thing to say.] That takes all the fun out of this entire expedition. [It sounds so boooorrrinngggg.]

Well we still have to get rid of them when they're down there...and I for one don't wanna get bitten if I don't have to. Not after the last time...

Coward. Maybe if you had used your brain for a change, you wouldn't of had problems.

[He huffs, checking out the area around them.]

If we're to use a trap, I do not want to settle for just one. We'll get a pack of them, and finish them off while they're down there.

Hey, I did. That's how I didn't get eaten.

[Jerk...]

And we can always lure more than one, yeah. I mean, it's not like they can keep up with us without a Shifter to slow us down.

[He responds with a devilish laugh. No, there was no shifter around here, was there.]

Do me a favor, and leave at least one dog for me. We'll bury the rest alive.

[Krillin...just shrugs.]

That was the idea. If you want a big one all to yourself though, that's your business.

[A wicked expression crosses his features, one that Krillin would know. Even if it was a stupid dog, killing something that might get in his way later sounded good. A product of being locked up in the enclosure all the time. It'll help get out some frustration.]

Why don't I just make that pit for you.

[And he points his hand down, not even bothering to move...]

[Backing away now...]

Y-yeah, you do that.

[And he fires a blast into the ground. It's probably not as big as he made it out to be, since they'd need wood and all that to cover it, but it is deep. Very deep. He floats over it, looking down, pleased.]

I think that should do the trick.

[Krillin, backing up further of course, floats up and looks down too.]

Definitely. Now let's get it covered up and then make the magic happen.

[Oh yeah, that's the part he doesn't want to do.]

I made the hole, you can cover it up.

And you can help.

[He moves over and picks up some fallen sticks.]

I'm the one doing the magic, remember?

[He turns, glaring and growling at Krillin. He doesn't want to help.]

And? This was your idea, remember that? [Or, Vegeta just doesn't want to pick up sticks and leaves.]

And. Help me so we can get this done faster...

[He's really not wanting to stand around arguing all day, but geez dude, do your share too. Anyone can dig a damn hole.

He starts covering it with some sticks, getting more.]

[He kicks a few sticks near him over towards the hole. Fine. He'll get sticks but he sure as hell isn't going to go around picking leaves off of trees. Because he's a brat.]

Me, the saiyan prince, picking up sticks, honestly...

Sure, whatever.

[He'll get the leaves, whatever. Krillin just punches a couple of trees to knock them down.

And then he gets to work]

[He angrily dumps whatever sticks he's gotten across the hole, with little concern of how they look. Not even crossing them or anything. What. He helped, that's good enough for him.]

Here, there's your sticks. Now can we please move on to the important part?

In a minute, hold your horses.

[He takes the time to carefully arrange and cover the hole, the process taking maybe five minutes or so.

When he's done, he claps his hands and nods in satisfaction.]

There. Done. Now, let's go round some up.

[His arms fold over his chest as he watches Krillin put the final touches on their pit.]

About time. [But, either way, now they can get to the fun part.] Well? Get to it.
